Rob and I got up this morning and rode to the Lake O the Pines Rally near Jefferson Texas. The North Texas Nortons Owners Association has their annual rally every year at this camp ground. There were lots of bikes and plenty of people that wanted to talk about bikes. [See all of the Pictures Here]

We left Plano around 8 this morning with over cast skies and rain looming. I do not know about you guys, but it sure is nice getting into my riding gear and knowing that I am not going to sweat my *** off by the end of the day. The trip was 337 miles round trip. Here is the route we took. We mini slabbed it down there so we could see as much as we could and grab a bite and still get back home at a decent hour.

We got some rain but nothing to serious. It was just abummer when we finally got off the highway and on to some twisties, the roads were wet, no good for riding really fast on, but it was still fun.

We got to the rally around 11:30. There was already a good crowd on hand, Rob and I grabbed a burger and then just walked around and took in the sights and sounds. What a wonderful day. the weather was great and the riding was better.
